A gala concert performance at the Embassy of France to open the 2017-18 season of the Russian Chamber Art Society Tchaikovsky's

T H E   Q U E E N   O F   S P A D E S

featuring Denyce Graves as the Countess

The Russian Chamber Art Society is thrilled to present 

Washington-born international star Denyce Graves in her debut as the Countess in a concert version of Tchaikovsky's 1890 masterpiece "The Queen of Spades," based on a story by Pushkin. 

Joining Graves will be soprano Jennifer Casey Cabot as Liza, tenor Viktor Antipenko as Herman and pianists Genadi Zagor and Vera Danchenko-Stern, RCAS founder and artistic director.

At this season-opening gala (black-tie optional), highlights of "The Queen of Spades," sung in Russian, will be interspersed with English narration by Rick Foucheux, a Woolly Mammoth company member and George Washington University faculty member. 

A limited number of VIP tickets at $250 each, including the concert and a buffet dinner with wine and dessert, plus an exclusive pre-concert champagne reception, are now available.

Note: General admission tickets at $195 each, including the concert and a buffet dinner with wine and dessert, will go on sale August 1.

Photo ID is required for entrance to the Embassy. Street parking is available.
